OneHourStory is built around a different unit: the single sitting. Every story on our shelf is complete, classic, and finishable in about an hour or less. You start it, you live inside it, and you reach the last line while the first one is still warm.

The library is drawn from the public domain — Melville, Stevenson, Irving, Gilman, Dickens, Bierce, O. Henry, Jacobs — sourced from Project Gutenberg and re-typeset with the care these stories deserve: a reading typeface designed for long form, generous margins, a warm reading light for late nights, and not a single distraction on the page.

Everything is free. There is no account, no feed, and no algorithm. Your reading position and bookmarks are saved on your device, and nothing about you is collected to make that work.
